An Open & Affirming Community of Faith
We are a small, open-hearted church family in North Scottsdale where love grows, faith deepens, and all are welcome.

Our Story
Black Mountain UCC began with a vision of a faith community rooted in love, openness, and action. In the heart of North Scottsdale, we gather as a family of faith where love grows and everyone belongs. We’ve remained small enough to be family, while large enough in love to serve the world.
Our Mission & Values
At Black Mountain United Church of Christ in Scottsdale, AZ, we grow in love of God and neighbor through worship, service, and community.
We put faith into action with local, regional, and global mission projects, bringing comfort and material assistance to all God’s children.
We value:
Intimate & Family-Like – Deep relationships and mutual care across generations.
Inclusive & Welcoming – A place where every person belongs.
Open & Affirming – We honor the God-given worth and gifts of every person.
Mission-Oriented & Compassionate – Love expressed through tangible service.

Purpose – To love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength, and our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:37–39).
Vision – United in Christ’s love, a just world for all.
